Summer is just around the corner, and I know I prefer to have a fake tan than a real one. I know it becomes pricey but Id prefer to pay for one then risk getting sun cancer. So here are some tips if you are thinking about getting a spray tan or just doing it yourself at home.
- EXFOLIATE: you need to remove dead skin cells otherwise your tan will appear patchy and un-even. So grab yourself an exfoliating glove and an exfoliating body wash and get scrubbing.
- SHOWER: it is important to have a shower just before your appointment or if you are doing it yourself so you can be sure that you have removed any excess oils, makeup, moisturizer, deodorant.
- TIME: you can get spray tans that you only have to leave on between 2-8 hours, but I prefer to get one in the afternoon and leave it on overnight. that way it gives it time to develop. But it really depends on how dark you like your tan
- CLOTHING: make sure you wear dark, loose clothing. If you wear a white dress to your appointment the tan may stain it. and dont wear a bra, as the straps will cause lines on your brand new tan. Also either get a disposable g-string (they usually give you one) because if you wear normal undies you will be able too see a big patch of your un-tanned skin. While if you wear a g-string it wont be as noticeable.
- MOISTURISE: they say your skin sheads dead skin cells every night, But keeping your skin moisturised will help with reducing patchiness as your tan fades.
I hope you all found these tips helpfull :)
